Education evaluation is just equating your qualification with American qualification. Just telling your bachelor degree is equivalent to BS here. Once equal...always equal. So it doesn't expire.

I have an approved i140 from old employer, using which I am planning to file i485 (As PD from old PERM/i140 is current for the month of Aug. & no labor filed for ne employer). As I am in good terms with old employer, they are ready to give me a "future employment letter" for my GC processing.
Can someone please let me know -
1. Format of the letter, details thats needs to be present in it,
2. Anything else I need from the old employer.

Who would be better to handle a complex GC case Murthy or Rajiv's office.

IRS is very clear on this. SSN+ITIN couple filing jointly, no rebate for either of them. See this link http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=179211,00.html
However, you should apply for an SSN for your wife ASAP. You may retroactively get this 2007 rebate when you file 2008 taxes.
Using your wife's SSN for tax purposes will not impact her legal status in any way.
Is it true that H4 spouse, who do not have SSN are not eligible for tax rebate if while filing a joint tax return for 2007 ITIN is used for spouse.

I agree. Please use proper legal advise. Also see if youo can do a permium processing for I140 as it may be helpful to have a approved 140 for H1B extension and priority date retention.

I just emails yesterday stating that my EAD card is sent to production, but they have asked for initial evidence on 485. Is it possible to review 485 without looking at the 140? I am not sure what that query is, but really hoping that it is not something serious. I've already waited for 16 months for my Labor to get approved. Please share your experiences, suggestions etc. regarding this.

I am applying for UK visitor visa. My wife is accompanying me in the trip. Do I need to fill up the electronic form separately for my wife also.

I don't understand when all these new questions pop-up with new user ID's, I wonder if they really tried to research at least a bit before posting here. Why do they need to be spoon fed for simple questions whose answers are just a 'google' away.

And also, I am looking at a big amount of money that I gotta pay for tuition, does anyone know any tax credits that we can use to reduce the burden ?

Yes, you can do part-time MBA without issues. There are tax breaks both at the federal and possibly the state level (NY has a tax break for students). The tax software will guide you thru it.

Hi all,
Please let me know what could be the problem. On Apr25, my status changed to Case Received and Pending. Last Updated Date is 05/18.
When i contacted my employer, he says my petition is approved. But still when i find the status online, it's not reflected.
What could be the problem?
Any thoughts would be highly aprpeciated.

Let us be very clear, we are MORE THAN WILLING to associate with any org that can be beneficial to us. One of the members of IV had established contact with USINPAC and it has been a very fruitful association
If anyone can do the same thing with any other org (could be 'Chinese Physicians Association', or 'Russians in America' or 'Canadians in USA' or even 'Americans for High Skilled Immigrants' - please note that I made up all the names, but please get the gist) please take the inititative and let us know how it goes.
Also note, that even if we associate with an org primarily working for a particular country, all our issues will benefit EVERYONE from every country. It is impossible to press for an amendment like 'Ability to file I485 without regard to visa number for Indian Nationals only'. The US Government doesn't allow that and neither will IV go in that direction.
The keywords here are 'publicity and exposure'. We really need that to protect our amendments in the Senate and the House Conference

Yes, the new quota starts on Monday. However, you still need a current priority date and all security clearnances before you are eligible for approval. (At least that's how it will work for the most part).
Who knows if they used all the 2007 numbers up. I suspect they will be very close to having done that given the number of applications they had.
Does the new Quota start Monday Oct 1 st?? Can we see approvals coming right away or will USCIS take some time to access the number of application received and then request the visa numbers..
Also did USCIS use up all numbers for 2007?

The AC21 is for job description being same or similar.
For example "Programmer Analyst" = "Computer Systems Analyst" as per the code mapping.. But if one takes "Senior Software Engineer" job.. with the same job description as per the approved labor which had title "Programmer Analyst"
